compile it yourself!

look for patches https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … 8a175f344e

and building https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … fdiaporama

and translate it to "ubuntu"

I've reported [bug 1560151] to the Ubuntu-Mate team to support installing ffdiaporama 2.1 stable under Ubuntu 16.04 Xenilal (Beta1). But they skipped my request and asked me to send this request to the launchpad PPA maintainer.

Please contact the Launchpad team and decide what to do with this issue. The provided package 2.1 runs well under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. But with the actual statement, there will be a fallback to version 1.53, which is completely outdated.
