Video render fails on openSUSE 13.2 Harlequin

Thanks again for this great piece of Software!
I recently did an update from openSUSE 13.1 to 13.2, and now, rendering of videos fail:
When I use "render lossless" and render to 720p, I immediately get an error message "Job error! Please contact ffDiaporama team" and the rendering stops.
Here is the command line output:

I use also openSUSE 13.2 and face the same problem. Could someone please update the install script of the development version? It worked with openSUSE 13.1 already very good.

Re: Video render fails on openSUSE 13.2 Harlequin

looks like development is stuck since quite a while - that's sad.
However, I made ffDiaporama work with installing a small Ubuntu virtual machine (under Suse 13.2, kvm).
I loaded the latest ffDiaporama deveopment version and installed it flawlessly, and the rendering works very well.
Please be aware that rendering takes a lot of resources:
1. release all CPUs you have for the virtual machine (Suse is perfectly usable in parallel, even if all 4 cores are 100% rendering!)
2. install A LOT of memory (4GB is the lowest I'd recommend)
3. install at least 4GB swap on the virtual machine
ffDiaporama seems to pile up claimed memory and exits if it reaches a border (check with vmstat).

Furthermore, I can' recommend the Windows port; video and audio get out of sync during rendering, and I had an exit as well.

Re: Video render fails on openSUSE 13.2 Harlequin

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the portablalinuxapps. But for the moment I found that I still have a parallel running Suse 13.1 which I can use for the ffDiaporama.
When I find time I will try to create such an appdir.

Re: Video render fails on openSUSE 13.2 Harlequin

Hi,

when i try to render on my Windows-System, I got the same message in german.
I was helped by this solution: http://ffdiaporama.tuxfamily.org/Forum/ … php?id=647

Perhaps it works also on SUSE
