Couple of issues to mention using ffDiaporama_2.0.2013.1123-x64

Couple of issues to mention using ffDiaporama_2.0.2013.1123-x64_setup
First thing this is a great piece of software but I have a couple of observations based on the way I work.
1.    I create a new folder and copy all the files I want to put in the video into that folder. I store the dot.ffd file here and I am always working on duplicates (but disk space is cheap). On this occasion I opened a new project and in your add new files dialog I could see the files in the your file manager and then sorted them by name. I then imported 20 photos and the result is the import always puts the photos in reverse order on the time-line. At this point I opened the folder in XNView and sorted by EXIF date and batch renamed the files. I tried a second import and again the files were in reverse order. I have tried various “sorts” but the result is always the same, reversed. Now I notice a second issue
2.    The ffd file manager now has many duplicates, one from the initial import and the second after the XNview batch file rename (no duplicates visible under windows file manager). No amount of sorting or re-reading changes this.
3.    When opening the main program after a full project save, I click on “open recent” and select a previous build and it fails and suggest I find the file manually but always opens the “My Music” folder and says “no compatible file” because it is looking for music. Using the open file dialog it always opens the correct folder and ffd file
Items 2 and 3 suggest to me a caching issue and if it is I have no idea where the cache is held to remove it.

I have a feature request

Most of my projects are videos made from pictures of my granddaughter. What I am suggesting is the ability to be able to set the text parameters (font, Italics, size etc) on a project basis at the start so any annotation looks the same in the video (but would still like to able to change individual slides)

Many thanks for your efforts

Hi

Could you confirm me that these problems were solved in version 2.0.1 ?

Regarding your feature request, you have several options:
-Define a title model
-Save as favorite the text style in the text edit dialog

Have you tried with these solutions?

Re: Couple of issues to mention using ffDiaporama_2.0.2013.1123-x64

Sorry about my delayed reply
1.    Yes I can confirm that all the problems of my first line item in my original message were fixed in release version 2.0.1
2.    I no longer see the problem and it would appear to be fixed
3.    This problem still exists. Just today [Sat 21st December] and using version 2.0.1, I went to open and existing ffd and the main program was off looking for a music file so I quit and exited the program and double clicked the ffd file and it opened perfectly normally and correctly.

I did look at the define title model but assumed that it covered “title” pages.
What I do in most cases is import a picture into a slide, set the page for use TV margins and then slightly reduce the picture size from the bottom right corner (so as not to lose the size ratio) and add a text comment or date usually along the bottom of the slide under the picture. This is to ensure that in 20 years’ time, my 3 years old granddaughter will have some clue as to the slide content but to do this I don’t want the system default “Times new Roman” font so I have to change it on every slide. We don’t use and serif font as we have a family member who is dyslexic and to them serif fonts are virtually unreadable so we use Verdana

Love ffDiaporama by the way, it is superb

Hello

For the 3rd problem, I think it's fixed in the latest devel. Could you try it?

Regarding the default font, you have the possibility to:
- Create title slide from model
- Convert it to a normal slide
- Modify fonts
- Save the slide as a custom title model

Thereafter, you can use your custom model instead of the predefined model
