libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio linux mint is obsolete

Hello All
I just installed linux mint cinnamon today and went to install this program which I love but debian got rid of the libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio and it's just linsdl1.2debian now.
I tried to install the one this program depends on but I would have to redo a lot and depgrade a lot of things to do it.
I was wondering if you are going to make a fix for this, as far as anyone using debian (unless they use an older version of the libsdl) will not be able to use this at all.
Hopefully because I love this software.
Sam

Re: libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio linux mint is obsolete

Hello

I takes into account your request and I am going to envisage the creation of packages dedicated to mint.

For the moment, we work to integrate ffDiaporama in the Ubuntu store but if Mint go away from Ubuntu, it can make sense.

In the meantime, I recommend you to compile the application so, there will be no problem of dependences.

Re: libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio linux mint is obsolete

Thank you for your quick reply.
Mint went away from ubuntu long ago with their debian versions, they really only have one left that uses anything with ubuntu in it, just thought I would update you on that.
They also are double the downloads that ubuntu are and have become the number one distro on the planet.
On Distro Watch
Rank     Distribution     H.P.D*
1     Mint     4433>
2     Ubuntu     2184>

So they should have their own version, but it has to be compliant with debian testing since that is their main source for almost all their version.
You have one for almost everyone except mint.
Might be good to talk Clem also to see if he can get this into his repos, this program is fantastic and probably the best I have seen.
I thank you for it, I installed it on a netbook I have xubuntu on since the ubuntu version didn't work with debian edition of mint, but I will try and compile it myself and see if that works smile
Thanks again for the quick reply.

the only issue there was is the libexiv2-10 debian testing I guess is still using libexiv2-9 but no issues it worked.
