Need help for Text Animation

I'm new to ffdiaporama, everything is rather self-explanatory, but i'm stuck creating a simple text animation, where a (long) text will scroll fom bottom to top.
Imagine a long text which shall scroll,  like end-titles in a movie, beginning at the very bottom (black screen) and scrolling to the very top, until the complete text is out of the screen.
i played around with the text animation settings (but can't see any effect except that the text is placed up or down) in that one image, without any movement.

i did google searches and read the help sections on the project page but can't find anything. Probably it's an easy thing, but i'm lost.
Anyone who can help ?
Thanks
Guido

ps.: Version i'm using is 1.5 which comes from the ubuntu package.

Re: Need help for Text Animation

Hello

The easiest way to do this is:
1.Create an empty title slide
2.Open this slide (double click on it)
3.Add a simple text block and enter your long text in this text block
4.Setup this block on the screen
5.On the bottom right of this edit slide dialog box there are 2 sliders to setup text scrolling. Use the slider corresponding to vertical position to move the text down.
6.Add a second shot
7.On the second shot change the position of this slider to move the text up.

You can define the speed of the scrolling by changing the duration of the second shot.

PS: You should consider to install a more recent version: 1.5 version is really outdated

Re: Need help for Text Animation

Ah, now i got it. Thanks for the quick reply. works pretty good, also in 1.5.
The ubuntu people sometimes are far behind the recent versions in some projects (not only ffdiaporama), but as long as i don't need features of more recent versions this is OK for me, i will use the one from the ubuntu repository.
