live preview: Why do you force users to render the show?
Most computers are likely to be fast enough to play images in realtime.
Even if its not smooth, it might be the right thing for some quick presentations.

I'm glad you like this application

In preview, I have to significantly reduce the quality of images and the number of generated FPS because there is too much calculation.

What seems acceptable in a small window, will become unacceptable in full screen especially with videos.

Even if the FPS get's slower, I'd be interested in how much slower it would get.

Eventually there is a way to blend in the new rendered image making the lack of FPS less obvious?

I agree that it will be less perfect. But you'll still get results fast, and creating a slide show this way will be much more comfortable than eg using PowerPoint. Also disk usage will be smaller. Moreover quality will adopt to screen resolution automatically.

I agree that the result will not be perfect, but maybe just good enough.
Eg when switching off transations and animations it could still be useful.

Maybe waiting for more votes on this topic is a good strategy then.
If you're lazy you could setup a menu item showing a message box:
"Goto tid=632 and vote for this feature. Know limitations:
It will look nice, but FPS will be low, so if you want to have a look at your show without rendering don't use too many animations"
